Thickness: 5mm

A fine Higo Shimizu Jingo tsuba. The very good iron with a chocolate color patina is decorated with traces of nunome zogan.

The hole on the bottom, called “water drop” by Sasano, is pierced in diagonal as typical of Jingo works.

The overall style suggests an attribution to the third generation of Jingo Shimizu masters.
