Sugata [configuration]: Shinogi-zukuri, iori-mune, elongated chu-kissaki
Kitae [forging pattern]: Mokume hada with jinie.
Hamon [tempering pattern]: Gunome midare and ko-choji midare in nie-deki on the omote sideko-notare and gunome midare on the ura side. Ashi, yō, sunagashi and kinsuji.
Boshi [point]: Notarekomi with hakikake kaen.
Nakago [tang]: O-suriage, kirijiri, yasurime slightly katte sagari; three mekugi-ana
Horimono [carving]: Bo-hi on both sides

Origami [paper]: The blade comes with a Hozon Tōken (Sword Worth of Preserving) certificate issued by the Nihon Bijutsu Token Hozon Kyokai 
Koshirae [mounts]: The sword comes with a good koshirae with old fittings representing lobsters on menuki and fuchi kashira and a butterfly in a net on the tsuba.
