Antique inro representing three portraits of Dutchmen inscribed in a circle. One side is decorated with a man wearing a tricorn and a woman with a headscarf and a cross around her neck; portrayed on the other side, a man with a long nose, a typical feature of western people in antique Japanese representation. The use of green is quite a rare feature in Japanese lacquer. Nakayama Komin was active in Edo; he was a pupil of Hara Yoyusai and master of Ogawa Shomin.
