Over the years, Giuseppe Piva Gallery has established itself as a point of reference in international collecting by contributing to the formation of important private and museum collections, with particular emphasis on authentic samurai armor.
From the sale of authentic samurai armor and antique samurai helmets (kabuto) to antique Japanese screens and original nihonto, the gallery makes available to experts and enthusiasts of Japanese art works of great value that reflect the style and culture of the "rising sun" in its many facets.
Heritage
We offer our knowledge for heritage divisions and evaluations of collections of Japanese art and antiques.
Valuations
We provide valuations for all works of art, from large collections to single items, which range within our fields of expertise and which we would normally buy and sell. Anyway, we are sorry we would not give evaluations on items recently bought from other galleries.
Cites and ivory
The gallery is actively committed to fight illegal ivory. In no case we will buy and sell ivory items which do not respect the current legislation: all netsuke and ivory artworks published for sale on this website are original antique and a CITES certificate can be requested.
